ಕೆ. ಪಿ. ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ   (8 ಸಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್‌ 1938 - 5 ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್‌ 2007)                          ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಎರಡು ಜೀವಗಳಾದರೆ; ಒಂದು ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಗು. ಹೇಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ತಾಯಿಯ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವೋ, ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಧಾರ ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು. ಆದರೇ, ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಸೆಳೆದ ಏಕಮಾತ್ರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೆಂದರೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪುರವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಕೆ. ಪಿ. ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ. ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಿನದ ಬಿಡುವಿನ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯೇತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ವಾಚನಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನನಗೆ ಗಮನಸೆಳೆದ ಮತ್ತು ತದನಂತರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಆಳವನ್ನು ತೋಡುವಂತಹ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕವಿ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿ, ಪರಿಸರ ಪ್ರೇಮಿ. ಹೌದು ಅವರ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಶೈಲಿಯೇ ಹಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಕೇವಲ ಅವರ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರತ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಕಡೆ ಸೆಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿಯವರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಗಳ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಯಾದ ನಾನು ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದ ಅವರ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.                        ...
